I like reading children’s books before I give them as gifts and frankly, I had to get one of these for myself! Being Lucky tugged at my heart string and as I read about his journey, I thought about my own. John Lennon said, “All we need is LOVE” Being Lucky is about being love and sharing love. Reading this book to a child opens our hearts and allows our goodness to shine in their eyes..WOW!

A truly beautiful and heartwarming tale written by a caring man that I’ve known for over forty years. Caring for my two grandchildren I’ve attended many library programs and heard or read many books; Lucky stands out for its powerful message of what we may face in life and how to overcome those challenges. It should be read by all ages!
